BEST ADVENTUROUS HIKES FOR YOUR VERMONT ELOPEMENT

NORTHERN + CENTRAL VERMONT HIKES

STERLING POND:

While this takes about 2-3 hours to complete, the views are so worth it. Just off the long trail this trail takes you to the highest elevation alpine trout pond in Vermont. The views are stunning.

2.1 out and back trail with long trail access

BARNES CAMP LOOP:

1.3-mile loop trail near Underhill Center, Vermont.

It takes an average of 45 min to complete.

STOWE PINNACLE TRAIL:

Stowe Pinnacle is a moderately difficult hike in Stowe Hollow, Vermont.

2.6 mile hike out and back

NICHOLS LEDGE:

0.6-mile out-and-back trail near Hardwick, Vermont.

It takes an average of 26 min to complete.

WHITE ROCK MOUNTAIN

4.7-mile out-and-back trail near North Middlesex, Vermont.

It takes an average of 3 h 0 min to complete

THE NOSE TO THE CHIN - LONG TRAIL:

2.8-mile out-and-back trail near Underhill, Vermont.

It takes an average of 1 h 55 min to complete.

Driving up the auto-toll road: Open Spring-Fall between 5/27/23 until 10/15/23. 

The road up Mount Mansfield is 4.5 miles and there is parking at the top!

It takes an average of 2 h 14 min.

With adventurous hiking elopements I recommend choosing coverage anywhere from 4-8 hours. Here is an example coverage for an 8 hour day.
