PLANNING YOUR ST. PETE BEACH FLORIDA ELOPEMENT

Wanting to plan an elopement in St. Pete Beach but don't know where to start? Here are some steps you can follow to plan your elopement on St. Pete's Beach:

  1. Get your marriage license:

  • Before you're able to get married in Florida the first thing you need to do is get your marriage license. This can be obtained at any Florida county clerk's office. Both you and your partner must be there and provide valid identification.

  1. Pick a date and time:

  • Consider the weather when searching for your date. Florida has a hot Summer season and a rainy hurricane season so I'd recommend choosing a date sometime in the Fall, Winter + Spring months anywhere between November through April.

  1. Select a location:

  • St. Pete's Beach offers scenic ocean landscapes, so choosing a date and time that fits your needs best is important. Popular locations include Sunset Beach, Redington Beach, St Pete's Beach, Upham Beach or Pass-a-Grille Beach. I will work with you to get any permits you may need for your ceremony.

  1. Find an Officiant:

  • Hire a wedding officiant to perform the ceremony. Make sure they are authorized to officiate weddings in Florida. *Remember Florida needs two witnesses, so this can be your photographer and officiant!

  1. Find a photographer:

  • Capture the special moments by hiring a photographer (aka me!). I know St Pete inside and out and can provide the best locations, vendors and lodging recommendations you'll need for your elopement.

  1. Witnesses:

  • Florida requires at least two witnesses to be present at the ceremony. If you're eloping alone, ask your officiant or photographer to act as witnesses.

  1. Have a small reception:

  • Plan a cozy beach picnic, or a private celebration at an airbnb with family and friends. Or have a dinner at your favorite restaurant.
