ADVENTUROUS STOWE PROPOSAL AT STERLING POND

Hayden + Carlees Sterling Pond proposal was both adventurous and intimate. I reached the trailhead early in the morning to start hiking up the Sterling Pond trail. Once I got to the top of the Long Trail I went left and came to a gorgeous pond.
Fun fact: Sterling Pond is Vermonts only high elevation trout pond! It's also a popular location to elope at if you don't mind a hike!
HAYDEN + CARLEE'S STORY:
Carlee works at a children’s hospital infant to 18 and the two met on rotation nationwide in Fort Worth TX. They agreed after one more rotation to make a plan to reconnect again.
They're new years resolution for 2023 was to get engaged by the end of the year and made this trip several months ago to drive up north to visit Acadia National Park, White Mountain National Forest, Burlington and Portland.
On the day of their proposal after hiking all the way up to the pond I waited for the two to arrive. I heard voices in the distance and soon appeared Hayden with Carlee following close behind as they made their way to the pond. Hayden started to climb a boulder and helped Carlee to the top. After a few minutes Hayden bend down on one knee on top of the boulder and asked Carlee to marry him!
