Avalanche Lake Elopement in Upstate New York

Dusty + Allyson's Adirondack Elopement Story:

Dusty and Allyson originally picked Avalanche Lake for their Adirondack elopement in the High Peaks Wilderness because it was sentimental to them. We worked together to research photo locations and location scout through their elopement planning process until we found a good spot to do their ceremony. The day finally came and we met at the trailhead at 3am to start the 4.8 mile one way hike to the lake. It was a misty morning but we were prepared with gaiters, rain pants and coats. Right before we reached the lake, the rain let up and we were blessed with clear skies for their elopement.

After their ceremony we walked around the lake for different view points and then hiked back to Marcy Dam for more photos! It was an incredible day full of hiking and epic views!
